DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURE
The diploma program in agriculture will produce human resources with advanced knowledge and skills in this area of national development. This qualification which covers a broad range of areas such as farm planning , soil management, organic farming, crop and pasture management , marketing farm produce to name a few. The qualification will include a practical component thus availing opportunities for practical application of newly acquired knowledge. It will impart knowledge and competencies to conduct animal disease control measures with farmers, plan and manage the agriculture production cycle, set up and run a profitable agricultural enterprise and promote agro based business.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
Entry requirement is NCQF Level IV, BGCSE or other equivalent secondary school qualification with a Minimum of ‘D’ in Five Subjects and should include English and Mathematics among the qualifying subjects with at least grade “D”:

Certificate IV (TVET Certificate), NCQF level 4 in related fields.
Or
Holders of NCQF Level 5, Certificate V qualification in the same of field of discipline can progress into Diploma with exemptions based on Credit Accumulation and Transfer System
Or
Holders of Diploma (NCQF Level VI) or equivalent qualification in a related field
Or
Holders of Certificate V, NCQF Level 5 (General Education or TVET) Certificate V holders may be granted exemptions based on the relevance of the subjects
Or
Applicants who do not meet the above criteria but have relevant industry experience of minimum of 2 years will be considered through recognition of prior learning
